The diode laser

indications:

• sclerotherapy for broken capillaries

• permanent hair removal

Treatment parameters:

pulses of light of wavelength 810 nm (visible spectral, red)

Mode of action:

The laser energy is being absorbed by the dark pigment (melanin, part of the hair and skin) or by the red blood pigment.

Duration of treatment:

In case of permanent hair removal (see: FAQ: hair removal) multiple sessions are always required. Caused by other conditions, one session can be enough.

Soreness:

Comparable with pinpricks. Depending on pain sensitivity and localization a surface- effective anesthetic cream can be applied.
