Outpatient surgeries

In the Laser Medicine Center Rhine-Ruhr outpatient surgical procedures are regularly being executed on the skin, such as the removal (excision) of birthmarks and all malignant skin tumors (basal cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma or squamous).

All removed skin cancers are being histologically examined in a pathology institute. Of course also cosmetically disturbing lesions may be removed if desired, optionally in combination with a dermatological laser therapy. Different closure techniques such as displacement / rotation flap and cosmetically complex suture techniques (such as the subcuticular suture) are routinely used to achieve a cosmetically beautiful result.
