Indications:
• Spider veins
• Rosacea, telangiectasias
• Port-wine stains
• Angioma, hemangioma (haemangioma), Spider Nevus
• "Red" stretch marks
Treatment parameter:
Pulses of light are being absorbed in the blood vessels by the red blood pigment (hemoglobin). These are then being destroyed permanently through the thereby induced momentary heating - this is reflected in a gray / blue / red discoloration which disappears within 10 - 14 days.
Duration of treatment:
For small alterations one session is usually sufficient. For deep-reaching and extensive changes more sessions are needed.
Soreness:
Comparable with pinpricks, it is generally well tolerated with no anesthetic. In cases of pain sensitivity and in the treatment of young children it is possible to work with a skin anesthetic cream. The treatment of e.g. extensive port-wine stains, even in case of young children, can - if necessary - take place under general anesthesia with guidance of our anesthesiologist Dr. med. Sebastian Koch.
After- treatment: Sun protection
