Acne scars

Acne is an inflammation of the sebaceous glands in the skin, which often leaves scars

Acne is one of the most common skin diseases in general. It is caused by the inflammation of the small oil glands in the skin, which surround the insertion point of the fine hairs on the face and the upper torso.

Often, the face, back and chest are affected
Acne-like skin changes mainly affect those skin areas that have many sebaceous glands, that is the face, back and the chest. Typically, the skin - depending on the severity of the disease – displays blackheads (comedones), pimples and pustules. The decay of the inflammation is often accompanied by a scarring. Thus, the suffering of acne patients is rarely terminated with the decay of the florid acne.

Acne scars can be effectively treated with the laser
The development of laser technology applied to the field of medical acne treatment brought crucial successes: using erbium : YAG lasers can remove the finest skin layers almost blood- and painless.

Other possibilities for deep scars - injection of hyaluronic acid
Individual, extremely deep scars can often not be matched to the surrounding skin level by only applying laser therapy. Here, the laser treatment is complemented by adding injections of liquid implants to fill individual wells: materials such as body fat or hyaluronic acid have proven very useful here. Each product has advantages and disadvantages in its application. The doctor will discuss with you which one is most suitable for your individual needs.
